Feyenoord International Training Program returns in 2020
Dutch professional soccer club Feyenoord plans to organize the second edition of the Feyenoord Academy International Training Program in July and August 2020. The ITP is a three-week residential training program in Rotterdam for elite level players from abroad, born 2003-2007. Through this soccer oriented program, youngsters get the opportunity to showcase their talent in front of Feyenoord Academy staff. The Feyenoord Academy is a world-class training center for youth soccer players based in Rotterdam. This program is facilitated by the International Department of Feyenoord and training sessions will be led by Feyenoord Academy coaches. This year the program is also offered to talented girls (born 2003-2005) who are seeking international training environment and developmental opportunities.
The ITP focuses on personal development for all the participants within a professionally structured soccer environment under the supervision of Feyenoord. Coaches of Feyenoord will enter into an intensive cooperation with the players. In this way they shape the individuals over a few days into a fully-fledged team in which everyone's qualities are maximally utilized. The qualities of each individual player are tested, analyzed, and ultimately assessed through an evaluation form as well as a personal feedback session. Thus, this individual report gives players the opportunity to work on the areas for improvement that the Feyenoord coaches have pointed out.
The International Training Program was a phenomenal learning experience. You got the chance to learn from top-level coaches and learn how teams in Europe play. In 2019, one of the players from the ITP was able to take advantage of this opportunity for almost 2 full weeks while the rest of the ITP players continued with their international program.
The very personal training and coaching taught me the little things that I needed in order to take my game to the next level. All players should arrive at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport in the morning of the 25th of July. The players are dismissed in the morning on August 15th. All players should depart from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Airport shuttle is provided. Therefore, it is an all-inclusive soccer residential program from arrival to departure. In addition to training sessions and friendly matches against other Dutch academies, players will have the opportunity to learn more about the professional club Feyenoord, the Feyenoord Academy, the city of Rotterdam, and the culture of the Netherlands.
Participation in the ITP costs 4,950.00 USD. However, Feyenoord offers an early bird discount with a total price of 4,500.00 USD. The early bird discount ends on February 29, 2020.
