First Feyenoord International clinic at Serie A club
The Feyenoord Academy clinic formed the climax to a week of coaching education. 'It was a pleasure for the Carpi football academy to host Feyenoord. It was a session appreciated by technicians of the clubs affiliated to Carpi; a theoretical and practical meeting where we could admire the professionalism of the youth sector of the Rotterdam club, that has provided many champions', says Daniele Andreozzi, head of the Carpi FC Academy. After the theory session Feyenoord international development coach Melvin Boel worked with a team of talented children from Mirandola. 'The children that played under Feyenoord instructions were happy and said that learned many things during the session', says Andreozzi.
'For Feyenoord it was a great honour to be invited for this coaching workshop in Italy, a country with such a strong tradition in football, having won no less than four World Cups ', says Gido Vader, manager of International Relations. 'We were happy to share our vision on youth development and thankful for the great respect that was shown by the attendees.'
