George Johnston loaned to Wigan Athletic
George Johnston has joined English League 1 outfit Wigan Athletic on loan with immediate effect. The 22-year-old Scotland youth international’s contract is coming to an end this summer, but Feyenoord have an option to extend the deal for another season.
Johnston arrived at De Kuip in August 2019 from Liverpool. He had joined the Liverpool academy aged 9, before graduating to Liverpool Under 23s. Johnston made his official Feyenoord debut in the season’s opening Eredivisie game at PEC Zwolle and has since come off the bench on two more occasions.
