Jorrit Hendrix agrees Feyenoord loan switch

Feyenoord have added Jorrit Hendrix to their squad with immediate effect. The midfielder arrives on a six-month loan from Spartak Moscow. The deal also includes an option to buy the 26-year-old.
Hendrix made his debut in the Eredivisie for PSV in 2013. After 173 league appearances he made the switch to Spartak Moscow in the winter of 2021 and made 22 appearances in his first year in the Russian capital. Hendrix has also played more than 50 games in the Champions League and Europa League, and that experience is a big plus bearing in mind Feyenoord’s ongoing UECL campaign.

Frank Arnesen: ‘After the departure of several players since the summer and the recent arrival of a few talented youngsters, we wanted to add another player to the squad who we know can start immediately and who’s proven he can play at this level. With Jorrit’s arrival we have ticked both boxes.’

‘He’s able to play not just as a defensive midfielder, but in several positions across the back,’ the technical director continues. ‘All positions where we had too little cover. Plus, he brings a lot of experience, with more than 200 Eredivisie and European appearances to his name.’
