Late goals give Feyenoord big win against Emmen

Three goals in the final ten minutes earned Feyenoord a fine victory at De Kuip on Saturday nightA sellout crowd gave Jens Toornstra a rousing sendoff before kickoff and were duly rewarded with Arne Slot’s side running out 4-0 winners.

The crowd showed their appreciation for the departing Jens Toornstra ahead of kickoff, but when the match actually got underway the hosts gave them less to get excited about. Feyenoord had the upper hand the whole of the first half, but were unable to create any big chancesThe game was an hour old by the time Quinten Timber opened the scoring, smashing in his first goal for the club; Dávid Hancko claimed the assist on his debut.

Feyenoord cut loose in the final ten minutes, however. Santiago Gimenez, Jacob Rasmussen and Sebastian Szymański all followed Timber’s example but netting their first goals for the clubbringing the final score to a more impressive 4-0.

Next up for Feyenoord is an away day in Deventer on Saturday, when Go Ahead Eagles provide the opposition (kickoff 21:00 CET). The next home fixture sees Feyenoord welcome city neighbours Sparta on Sunday 11 September
