Pacific United FC have awesome time in Rotterdam
For the first time ever a team from the pacific coast of Canada visited the Feyenoord Academy this August. The U12 squad of Pacific United FC from Vancouver spent 10 days in Rotterdam to be exposed to the Feyenoord way of coaching. The boys also participated in a tournament and played friendlies in both Belgium and the Netherlands. 'It was an awesome experience for us', says executive director Kam Badwal of Pacific United FC. 'Training, the tournament, the hospitality, the organization and so forth. We cannot wait to come back with more teams.'
Pacific United FC not only brought their players to Rotterdam but also staff members, parents and siblings. The talented Canadians enjoyed the very hot Dutch summer and apart from the football, a great number of team activities and excursions. 'It was such a fun time and a great experience', says 11-year old Hugo Thompson. ' I hope I get to do it again, because I miss Holland already!'
