Real Madrid Graduate School returns to the Feyenoord Academy

For the fifth time, Feyenoord has had the privilege of hosting the Real Madrid Graduate School at the prestigious Feyenoord Academy. Because the restrictions to travelling from abroad are decreasing, Feyenoord will receive more and more clubs and trainers in the next months.

The coaches were welcomed at the Feyenoord Academy by the Head of the Feyenoord Academy Rini Coolen and the Feyenoord International Staff. After his warm welcome the students went to the field to observe the U13, U14 and U15 training. After these training sessions the group went back inside to listen to the presentation of Feyenoord’s Head of Operations, Raymond van Meenen. Raymond’s presentation was based on the strategy & structure of the Feyenoord Academy. This gave the coaches of the Real Madrid Graduate School the opportunity to gain valuable insights and information.

After lunch Koen Stam (Head of Methodology) and Melvin Boel (U18 Coach) gave a presentation on football philosophy & curriculum. The mission of Feyenoord got further explained and they gave their vision on guiding players. The presentation got followed up by Chris Wenker, Coordinator of Physical Training. After the introduction the coaches got involved in the physical program by doing the work-outs by themselves. The day was rounded off with a stadium tour in De Kuip.

‘We are pleased to see that the Real Madrid Graduate School has once again paid a visit to the Feyenoord Academy’, said Gido Vader, Manager of International Relations at Feyenoord. ‘We appreciate this long-term partnership with the Real Madrid Graduate School and look forward to welcoming them again to the Feyenoord Academy in the future’.
