Real Madrid graduate school visit Feyenoord Academy

A delegation of the Real Madrid Graduate School paid a visit to the Feyenoord Academy in February. 24 students of the Football Management Master program were introduced to the secrets of the successful Feyenoord Academy. Most of the students - who were from Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica, England and even India and China – have a background in coaching. All of them had the desire to improve their insights into working with young talent.

The delegation got full access to the Feyenoord Academy for a day and was also submitted to an interactive workshop by international development coach Melvin Boel on style of play development. David Viejo Romero, director of the Football Master Program, was enthusiastic about the visit. ‘It was very interesting. The only thing we did not like about the visit was that we were only here for one day. Next time we will reserve more days for this visit.’

Among the participants was former Real Madrid player and Spanish international Victor Sanchez del Amo, who made the most of the opportunity by visiting his old Depor teammate Roy Makaay. Also among the attendees was Albert Gil, coordinator of the youth department at Deportivo La Coruña and former youth department coordinator at Valencia, Real Madrid and Tigres México.
