Successful first Feyenoord Camp in Poland
In June 2016 the first Feyenoord football Camp ever was organised in Olsztyn, Poland. Seasoned Feyenoord Academy coaches Gerard Rutjes and Glenn van der Kraan spent a week in the Masuria region to work with young local talents. The coaches were welcomed with great enthusiasm and succeeded in leaving their mark on the 40 odd children that participated in the camp.
With former players like Wlodi and Ebi Smolarek, Jerzy Dudek and Tomasz Rzasa there will always be a strong tie between Feyenoord and Poland. Nevertheless, the Feyenoord camp that took place in Olsztyn was the first of its kind in Poland.
Agnieszka Sadowska, organizing partner, looked back in a successful first edition and was thrilled with the work of the Feyenoord coaches: 'It was an amazing camp with the highest level of coaching. The coaches were fantastic, they brought new field methods, they were so much involved.'
Feyenoord hope to return to Poland next summer.
