Tapia reaches Copa América final with Peru

Feyenoord’s Renato Tapia has helped his country reach the final of the Copa América. De midfielder played the full ninety minutes as Peru won 3-0 against Chile, which had won the last two tournaments.
Tapia, who was loaned out to Willem II last season, claimed an assist in the last minute, with the final pass in the build-up to José Paolo Guerrero’s goal.

Road to the final
Peru now face hosts Brazil in Sunday’s Copa América final, which kicks off at 22:00 CET. The two countries met earlier in the group stage, with Brazil running out emphatic 5-0 winners.

A goalless draw against Venezuela and a 3-1 win against Bolivia earned Peru a quarterfinal tie against Uruguay, as one of the two best third-placed teams. That match finished goalless with Peru edging through on penalties.
