After an intense first week, the Boin High School team was ready to raise the bar and give their all in the second half of their Dutch journey. While the opening week focused on discovering Dutch football culture, learning the Feyenoord methodology, and strengthening team spirit, the second week was all about translating those lessons into performances on the pitch.
The week kicked off at the Feyenoord Academy, where players sharpened their skills under the guidance of Feyenoord Academy coaches. Not only did the players gain new insights, but the Boin High School coaches also took part in the sessions, learning new approaches to training and coaching. All the knowledge and experience gathered over the two weeks came together in the final friendly matches against partner club FC Dordrecht, Feyenoord Academy partner club B.V.V. Barendrecht and Excelsior. These fixtures provided valuable international experience, challenging the team against strong Dutch opposition. To wrap up the football program, the group enjoyed an indoor tournament where fun was at the heart of it all
Beyond the football activities in Rotterdam and its surroundings, the trip also offered cultural enrichment. The team explored Breda’s historic city centre and ended the day by attending the Willem II – Top Oss match. On their final day they visited Madurodam, the miniature theme park showcasing the Netherlands in small-scale models with interactive experiences and concluded their adventure with a city walk through The Hague. With stronger skills, deeper bonds, and stories to tell, the team heads home knowing this was more than a trip.
“I extend my sincere gratitude for the hospitality and assistance provided during the two-week visit of the Boin High School Football Team to Feyenoord. This opportunity to experience the systematic training and competition has been a vital catalyst for our players' development and growth. I believe the greatest achievement of this exchange is the chance it gave our athletes to nurture their dreams and explore their future vision.”
