Feyenoord and Real Betis combine football and social impact

Feyenoord and Real Betis share the belief that football is more than just a game. Both clubs consciously use sport to contribute to social development and community involvement. Ahead of Thursday's Europa League match, they are therefore organizing a joint social exchange in Seville. This exchange focuses on knowledge sharing, exchanging experiences in the field of sport and education, and offering a special experience to participants from Real Betis' social projects.

Focus on exercise within UEFA Take Care
The exchange is part of the UEFA Take Care program. This UEFA initiative uses the power of soccer to promote a healthy lifestyle and positive habits. Take Care supports clubs, associations, and schools with practical tools to promote health and well-being.

The program consists of six themes: physical activity, nutrition, mental health, digital balance, substance use, and road safety. During this exchange, the emphasis is on physical activity and the importance of exercise for a healthy and active lifestyle, for all ages.

Activities that connect and inspire
The program in Seville consists of various activities that combine sports, inclusion, and sustainability. For example, there will be a visit to Real Betis' Community Ecogarden. Ten new plants will be added to the Betis Forever Green plot, with the aim of promoting biodiversity and pollination. This is a symbolic way of using the voice of sport to promote a greener future. Rafael Gordillo, president of the Real Betis Foundation and club icon, will also be present at this activity.

In addition, both clubs will provide joint training sessions at a school for a total of sixty children. The afternoon will be devoted to soccer training for children aged 4 to 9, followed by a session for young people aged 10 to 18. Exercise, fun, and playing sports together will be the focus.
Inclusion is also an important part of the program. Training sessions will be organized with the amputee soccer team and the G-soccer team, using sport to boost self-confidence, social contacts, and enjoyment.

A family in the spotlight
A special part of the exchange is the reception of a family from the Netherlands, who will be given extra attention during the program. They will take part in a tour of the Real Betis stadium, including a visit to the museum. As a highlight, the family will also attend the match, making this exchange unforgettable.
