Feyenoord V1 has continued its good form from recent weeks and secured a win in the third match of the new calendar year. On a historic evening at Varkenoord, Ella Van Kerkhoven scored the first-ever hat-trick in the history of the women's team, leading Feyenoord to a 3-0 victory over ADO Den Haag.
Feyenoord started the home match against ADO strongly, taking the lead within just five minutes. Ella Van Kerkhoven powerfully headed in a corner kick to open the scoring.
Just before halftime, Van Kerkhoven struck again, doubling the lead and setting the halftime score at 2-0.
After the break, Feyenoord found it more difficult against the visitors from The Hague, and an ADO goal seemed imminent. However, Feyenoord held firm, thanks in part to strong defensive performances from Toko Koga and Celainy Obispo.
In stoppage time, Van Kerkhoven completed her hat-trick, making the night one for the history books: her three goals marked the first-ever hat-trick for the Feyenoord women’s team.
