Oier Zon signed his first professional contract with Feyenoord this week. At De Kuip's Press Center, the 17-year-old Feyenoord Academy goalkeeper signed a deal until mid-2026, with an option for another year.
For Zon, signing his first contract at Feyenoord feels like something very special. 'This is a wonderful moment that I have obviously been really looking forward to. I am very grateful to everyone at the club for the trust I have been given. In the current season there are plenty of great challenges ahead, both individually and as a team. I will do my utmost to achieve them.'
Before Zon came to play in the Feyenoord youth academy, he was active for VV Baronie. Via the Breda amateur club, he made the step to Feyenoord Academy in the summer of 2019. At Varkenoord, the striker is in his sixth season and is currently part of Feyenoord Under 19, which is led by coach Dennis te Braak.
