The autumn competitions of Feyenoord Academy's youth teams are heading towards the decisive phase. With a few games left to play, the stakes are still very high for most teams. You can read an overview below.
In the battle for survival, Feyenoord Under 19 recorded a much-needed victory over their Sparta Rotterdam peers on Saturday afternoon. The city derby was close at Varkenoord for a long time, but a late goal from Thijs Kraaijeveld ensured that the points stayed in Rotterdam-Zuid in the end.
At home, leaders Feyenoord Under 15 secured a narrow win over AZ. Coach David Toxopeus' side held on to an early lead. Visiting NAC Breda, Feyenoord Under 14 had to settle for a draw. The point gained ensures that the team can secure the autumn championship in a fortnight' time.
