Akari Takeshige is the latest addition to Feyenoord V1. The 22-year-old defender joins from league rival Telstar and recently signed a contract at De Kuip’s Press Center that runs until mid-2028.
"Feyenoord is clearly a step up for me, and I’m very happy to be here," says Akari. "There are great challenges ahead at this club, and I’m really looking forward to the start of the new season. I want to help the team as much as I can and get the most out of myself."
The Japan-born Takeshige moved to the Netherlands last summer and has since played 21 matches in the Eredivisie for Telstar. Before joining the club in Velsen-Zuid, the talented defender played in her home country for NAC Kobe Leonessa.
Takeshige will wear the number 3 shirt for Feyenoord V1.
