Feyenoord ended their last game before the international break winningly. Despite missing many players due to injury, Brian Priske's team was far too strong for Almere City: 1-4.
Priske could not have the three strikers in his squad in Flevoland, so the coach threw Zépiqueno Redmond to the lions. The 18-year-old striker from Feyenoord Academy, where he joined when he was 13, started in the starting line-up to make his official first-team debut.
Feyenoord took the lead as early as the third minute, thanks to a fine falling header by Inbeom Hwang on a pass from Igor Paixão. Just as quickly that lead was off the board again, when simple ball loss in the build-up was punished.
In the end, Feyenoord ran away from the home side with no problem, which was thanks to three players who all scored their first Eredivisie goal for the club. Ramiz Zerrouki headed the team 1-2 after a spectacular assist from Dávid Hancko, before Thomas Beelen (also his first official goal for Feyenoord) and Anis Hadj Moussa decided the game deep in the second half.
Feyenoord resume the league after the international break with a home game against sc Heerenveen (Saturday 23 November at 18:45).
