Celainy Obispo played her 100th official match for Feyenoord last Sunday against FC Twente. The defender is therefore the first player in the history of the women’s team to reach this special milestone.
Obispo, born and raised in Rotterdam-Zuid, signed with Feyenoord in May 2021. On 29 August of that same year, she was in the starting lineup for the historic first Eredivisie match of Feyenoord V1. In that same match, Obispo also provided the assist for Feyenoord’s first-ever goal at the highest level, scored by Sophie Cobussen.
Over the seasons, Obispo grew into a key figure in Feyenoord’s defense, and since this season she has also worn the captain’s armband.
Celainy Obispo is the first player in the history of Feyenoord’s women’s team to have 100 official matches to her name.
