In the middle of October a youth team of Dutch Connections FC paid their annual visit to the Feyenoord Academy. During this trip, the development and evaluation of the current football capacities of the young players was the main topic.
The program consisted of training sessions with an experienced Feyenoord Academy coach and friendly matches against multiple professional Academy teams.
During their visit, Dutch Connections FC played friendly matches against the academies of FC Utrecht, Excelsior Rotterdam, Royal Antwerp and Feyenoord. The team had been preparing for this last game for some time. The co-founder of Dutch Connections FC also traveled to Rotterdam to watch this match.
Dutch Connections FC players had an overall great learning experience and they enjoyed the opportunity to work with the Feyenoord Academy coach. Some of the players already know this coach from previous Feyenoord Camps that were hosted in Toronto, as Dutch Connections FC and Feyenoord hosted Feyenoord Camps together in Canada for over a decade.
