Emma Pijnenburg makes move to Wellington Phoenix FC
Emma Pijnenburg has completed an immediate permanent transfer to Wellington Phoenix FC. The 21-year-old player from Feyenoord Vrouwen 1 was under contract in Rotterdam until mid-2026, but will continue her football career in her home country of New Zealand.
Pijnenburg joined Feyenoord in the winter of 2023 from Western Springs AFC. After starting out in the reserve team, she made her official debut for Feyenoord Vrouwen 1 on 17 February 2024. The New Zealand international went on to play a total of 28 official matches for the first team, scoring once.
