The farewell will give the legion the opportunity to honour Geertruida one more time for his impressive record at De Kuip. The multifunctional defender made his debut as a youth player in 2017 and grew into a base player, figurehead and international in the years that followed. In total, Geertruida came to 202 games for Feyenoord and won all Dutch awards with the club (1x national champion, 2x KNVB Cup and 2x Johan Cruijff Schaal).

Geertruida will enter the De Kuip pitch after the warm-up on Wednesday for a lap of honour along the stands, among other things. Extra reason, then, to get to the stadium on time to give the club's child the farewell he deserves. The Klassieker starts at 18:00 on Wednesday, the stadium gates open from 16:00 (Olympia side even as early as 15:30).
