Feyenoord will enter into a partnership with South Korean high school Boin. The Seoul-based school has one of the leading football youth academies in the Asian country. As part of the partnership, talents and coaches from Boin will intern at the Feyenoord Academy each year.
On behalf of Boin, chairman Seok Han Kim welcomed the cooperation signed in Seoul on Monday. 'Both Feyenoord and Boin were founded in 1908. We both have a long history and a bright future together. Our goal as a school is always to train talented individuals who also excel for their character. The collaboration with Feyenoord offers our talents a great opportunity to gain experience in European football and perhaps also take their first step into professional football.'
‘We are very happy with this cooperation,’ says technical manager Mark Ruijl. 'Boin delivers structural talent that finds its way in trial football. On a previous visit to South Korea, we noticed that the teams from this school play very good football. We look forward to supporting them further in developing their players.'
