Sport has an unprecedented power to bring people together and bring about positive change. Both Feyenoord and Sparta Prague harness this power as a means of promoting social development. Our social programmes involve people from diverse backgrounds, giving them the opportunity to make positive changes in their development.
Ahead of the Champions League match Feyenoord - Sparta Prague, a social exchange was scheduled. With this initiative, we want to show that football is more than just a 90-minute match. Although on the pitch Feyenoord and Sparta Prague face each other as competitors, off the pitch we work together towards common goals. Together, we show the impact of sport in areas such as education and employment.
Inspiring exchange
This exchange provides an opportunity to share knowledge, explore innovative methodologies and thus strengthen cooperation between our organisations. Employees from Sparta Prague took a look at various Feyenoord projects, aimed at different ages. They have thus been involved in projects such as Club1908, where lessons focused on STEM are given to children aged 9 to 12, and Feyenoord Youth League matches for young people in secondary schools.
