Feyenoord clinched their first home win of this season in the Champions League. In a humming Kuip, former head coach Brian Priske's club were beaten 4-2, which was mainly due to a whirlwind first half.
De Kuip was completely turned on its head after 12 minutes of play, after Igor Paixão doubled the just-gained lead with a fine goal. Gernot Trauner's opening goal - a header that went in somewhat fortuitously - had only just appeared on the board when the Brazilian put his side in a comfortable position.
Even before half-time, the margin widened when Anis Hadj Moussa brilliantly scored his third Champions League goal in the last three games. The Algerian also provided an assist in the second half, when he enabled Santiago Gimenez to score Feyenoord's fourth goal.
The two Czech goals were a blot on an otherwise fine Feyenoord evening. Priske's team are on 10 points after six games played and are therefore still fully on course for the next round of the Champions League.
