Feyenoord complete Giovanni van Bronckhorst's coaching staff

Justin Merz (33) will become the new goalkeeper coach in Rotterdam-Zuid, replacing Jyri Nieminen, who departed this summer. Merz, who gained extensive experience as a goalkeeper coach at a young age at clubs including 1. FC Union Berlin, TSG Hoffenheim and RSC Anderlecht, joins from Danish side Brøndby IF.

Rody Hoegee (49), a former professional and ex-Feyenoord academy player (between 1992 and 1995), joins as set-piece coach from Spanish side UD Castellón. Hoegee, who has worked in professional football for many years, fulfilled the same role last season at the Segunda División club, who were competing for promotion to La Liga.

Davey van den Berg (36) will focus on guiding the talented players from Feyenoord Academy who can and will make the step up to Feyenoord's first team, with the aim of making that transition as smooth as possible. Van den Berg has 17 years of experience within Feyenoord's academy as a coach of various youth teams and was crowned national champion with the U19 side last season.
