The first league defeat is a fact for Feyenoord. Robin van Persie’s team lost Sunday’s big match against PSV: 3-2.
Feyenoord mostly found themselves chasing the game against the team from Eindhoven. Just after Luciano Valente brought the side level shortly after the break, they immediately fell behind again. After Ismael Saibari made it 3-1, Oussama Targhalline pulled one back, but a late, hopeful push didn’t bring the result they wanted.
Feyenoord remain top of the Eredivisie on goal difference, but PSV are now level on points. The next league match is on Saturday, 1 November, at home against FC Volendam (kickoff 08:00 p.m.).
