In the coming period, Feyenoord and Stadion Feijenoord will take new steps to make De Kuip a more modern and hospitable stadium. Indeed, several pilots will be held to test a system of personalised access, following the example of several football clubs and major sporting events worldwide. Feyenoord and Stadion Feijenoord hope to make the admission process to De Kuip completely digital by the 2025-2026 season.
With the introduction of the new system, Feyenoord and Stadion Feijenoord expect visiting a Feyenoord home match to become even more welcoming and safe. Supporters will also have a fairer chance of obtaining tickets, as the use of fake accounts or black-market tickets will be made far more difficult via the new system. Personalised tickets also allow supporters to easily manage their tickets digitally or make them available to friends or family.
Feyenoord already successfully used a similar system of personalised access for the club's away matches, and now wants to extend this to its own ground. Club and stadium consider it important to involve their own supporters in the decision-making process, and have therefore held extensive consultations with a delegation of supporters, including the Feyenoord Supportersraad. They will continue to be involved in future developments in this area.
The very first pilot of the new personal access system will be held among staff during the home match Feyenoord - Fortuna Sittard, on Saturday 30 November. In line with the ambitions, club and stadium hope to implement technological innovations in other areas during the current season.
