Players and staff gathered early on Thursday at training complex 1908, where, after all best wishes for the new year, it was soon time to head to the airport. From Rotterdam The Hague Airport, Feyenoord's selection will fly to Málaga; the final leg to Marbella will be done by bus.

Besides the training sessions scheduled for the coming days, a (closed) practice match will also be played. On Monday 6 January at 14:00, German Fortuna Düsseldorf will be the opponent. The match lasts a total of 120 minutes (2x45 + 1x 30 minutes) and can be seen live and exclusively on Feyenoord ONE.
