Feyenoord have acquired Liam Bossin permanently from FC Dordrecht. The club had an option to contract the 28-year-old goalkeeper, who has played on loan for Feyenoord in recent months, and has chosen to exercise that option. As a result, the Belgian-Irish goalkeeper will stay at De Kuip until mid-2027.
‘Since I joined Feyenoord in January, I have enjoyed and been able to learn every day in a fantastic environment with players and staff of a very high level,’ Bossin says. ‘I am very happy and proud that the club wants to continue with me for two years, and see it as a reward and a big compliment for the hard work I have put in over the past few months. I can't wait to start the new season.'
Bossin, who before joining Feyenoord was active for RSC Anderlecht, Nottingham Forest FC and Cork City FC, among others, impressed at FC Dordrecht as an experienced and reliable goalkeeper. Feyenoord took him over on loan last winter break to further strengthen the stadium club's goalkeeping guild. In March, Bossin, who was a regular member of the second half of the season, made his first unofficial minutes as goalkeeper of Feyenoord 1 in a practice game against Excelsior.
