Feyenoord will face Belgian side RSC Anderlecht in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup. That was the outcome of today’s draw in Nyon.
Thanks to last season’s historic third-place finish in the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie, Feyenoord took part in a European draw for the first time today. Marc Pieters’ side enter the UEFA Women’s Europa Cup, the second-tier European club competition for women’s teams, in the first qualifying round.
Feyenoord were placed in Pot 2 for the draw and could therefore be paired with one of the theoretically stronger opponents from Pot 1.
The draw eventually paired Feyenoord with RSC Anderlecht of Belgium, who finished second in the Lotto Super League last season.
First and second legs
Feyenoord will play the first leg away from home on Wednesday 26 August. The return leg will take place a week later, on Wednesday 2 September at Varkenoord.
More information about ticket sales for the home match will be announced shortly.
