Feyenoord V1 gives patients a special afternoon at Sophia Children's Hospital

Personal attention in the hospital rooms
The players visited the children in their rooms and took plenty of time for both the patients and their parents. The personal attention brought many smiles to their faces. Gratitude was evident among the children and their families, who clearly enjoyed the visit.

According to captain Celainy Obispo, that is exactly what makes the visit so special: “These children are going through something no child should ever have to experience. The fact that we can put a smile on their faces today makes this extra meaningful.”

Gifts and special memories
The players did not arrive empty-handed. They handed out teddy bears provided by QTerminals, as well as autograph cards and Feyenoord scarves. The surprises clearly created even more excitement among the children.

Social involvement
For the players themselves, the visit was at least as meaningful. According to them, it highlights the importance of social involvement alongside football.

“I think this is a wonderful initiative,” said Esmee de Graaf. “This is the second time we’ve done this, and it’s great to be able to make a difference as football players beyond the pitch. The fact that we can contribute in this way makes it extra special.”
