Feyenoord V1 part ways with several players after this season

Feyenoord has informed several players that their expiring contracts will not be renewed. The players concerned are Amber Verspaget, Sanne Koopman, Bridget Jno Baptiste, Roos van Eijk, Ella Van Kerkhoven, Esther Buabadi, Dechamaily Lont and Lucy Heij. It was previously announced that Jacintha Weimar will also leave the club.

For Verspaget and Koopman, their departure marks the end of a four-season period at Feyenoord. Both players have made a valuable contribution to the development of Feyenoord V1 during that time.

The collaboration with Van Kerkhoven will also come to an end. The Belgian international joined Feyenoord in the winter of 2024 and has since played an important role within the team. In 48 matches so far, Van Kerkhoven has scored 28 goals.

After two seasons, Buabadi and Van Eijk will also depart. Buabadi has made fifteen official appearances for Feyenoord to date. Van Eijk, one of the three goalkeepers in the squad, has yet to play any minutes in official matches.

In addition, Jno Baptiste, Lont and Heij will look for a new challenge after the summer break. The trio came through Feyenoord’s youth academy and progressed to the first team via the reserve side.

At the end of the season, the departing players will be given a proper farewell.
