Feyenoord secured an important victory over PEC Zwolle on Sunday evening. At the MAC3PARK Stadium, the match ended 0–1 thanks to a goal from Romée van de Lavoir.
The clash between the numbers 4 and 5 in the Eurojackpot Vrouwen Eredivisie beforehand was evenly balanced throughout the full 90 minutes.
One moment ultimately made the difference: Romée van de Lavoir went one-on-one with PEC goalkeeper Oliwia Symczak, who is on loan from Feyenoord, and finished clinically.
Shortly before full-time, Ella Van Kerkhoven had a big chance to make it 0–2, but her effort was saved by Symczak.
With the 0–1 win in Zwolle, Feyenoord now move up to third place in the league, four points behind leaders FC Twente.
