Feyenoord have reached an agreement with HB Køge for the transfer of Avani Brandt. The 22-year-old American defender moves to Rotterdam-Zuid with immediate effect and signed a contract at De Kuip’s Press Centre today, keeping her at the club until mid-2028.
‘From the very first conversations, I immediately felt a great deal of confidence from the club,’ says Brandt. ‘Feyenoord are an ambitious club with excellent facilities and a clear vision for the development of women’s football. I therefore cannot wait to put on the shirt and contribute to the team.’
Brandt is a versatile defender who can play in every position across the back line. The American spent four seasons at Stanford University, where she established herself as a regular starter and achieved success at national level. In the summer of 2025, Brandt made the move to Europe by joining Danish side HB Køge, with whom she immediately won both the league title and the cup.
