Feyenoord V1 suffered a heavy defeat while visiting Chelsea. At Kingsmeadow, the team led by Jessica Torny lost by a large margin on Saturday afternoon: 9-0.
Feyenoord knew they were in for a tough challenge against Chelsea. The London team has been one of the absolute top teams in women's football for years, holding the record for the most championships and currently reigning as champions of the strong English FA Women's Super League.
In a well-filled Kingsmeadow, things quickly went wrong for Feyenoord after the first whistle. After 8 minutes, the score was already 2-0 for the home team. After this early setback, Feyenoord managed to get into the game a bit more and even created a few chances.
At the end of the first half, Chelsea scored two more goals. Halftime score: 4-0.
After the break, the score continued to climb. With goals in the 61st, 75th, 76th, and 85th minutes, the final score seemed to be 8-0, but deep into injury time, Chelsea added a ninth goal.
