

Feyenoord has won its third league match of the season. At Varkenoord, ADO Den Haag was defeated 2-0 on Saturday evening. The goals came from Akari Takeshige and Ella Van Kerkhoven.
Jessica Torny’s team got off to a flying start on Sunday. In just the second minute, Akari Takeshige headed in the 1-0. For the Japanese defender, it was her first official goal for Feyenoord.
Although Feyenoord remained the better side afterwards, they couldn’t extend the lead against the visitors from The Hague. Toward the end of the first half, they struck again. Ella Van Kerkhoven headed in a cross from Romée van de Lavoir.
In the second half, Feyenoord had more chances to increase the score, but none of them found the net. Final score: 2-0.
