Feyenoord V1 is leaving for England today (Thursday). The team, led by Jessica Torny, will stay in London until Wednesday, September 11. Before departure, Feyenoord held a group training session in Rotterdam.
Ziva Henry, Danique Ypema, Kirsten van de Westeringh, Bridget Jno Baptiste, and Sanne de Paus are all undergoing rehabilitation in Rotterdam and will therefore not travel to London. Talia DellaPeruta and Summer Haesakkers, who both recently suffered injuries, are also not included in the squad. Due to Haesakkers' absence, Eline Oudejans from Jong Feyenoord Vrouwen will join the group.
Noëlle van der Sluijs and Emma Pijnenburg are participating in the U-20 World Cup in Colombia and will join the squad later in the preparation.
In London, besides several training sessions, there are also two friendly matches scheduled. On Saturday, September 7, Feyenoord will face Chelsea, the reigning champion of the English FA Women's Super League. The match at Kingsmeadow kicks off at 12:00 P.M. local time. Four days later, on Wednesday, September 11, Tottenham Hotspur will be the opponent in the second friendly match. This match will also kick off at 12:00 P.M. local time.
