Feyenoord wins Johan Cruijff Schaal after spectacular game against PSV

Feyenoord captured the Johan Cruijff Schaal on Sunday night. Last season's cup winner was too strong for national champions PSV after a penalty shootout, as both teams made it a thrilling 90 minutes (4-4).

The game at the sold-out Philips Stadium was less than ten minutes old when Feyenoord already had to go in pursuit. However, that was also immediately the last time of the evening. After Santiago Gimenez's penalty, coach Brian Priske's team took the lead three times, but PSV equalised just as often.

Timon Wellenreuther stopped Johan Bakayoko's penalty and Guus Til also missed. Four Feyenoord players made no mistake from 11 metres. It is the fifth Johan Cruijff Schaal win (formerly Super Cup) in the club's history.
