Feyenoord looks back on a sporting and financial successful 2024-2025 season. At the beginning of the season, the Johan Cruijff Shield was won. In the new format of the UEFA Champions League, the round of 16 was reached and the Eredivisie was concluded with a third place.
Key points
• Revenue increased to €160 million, due to success in the UEFA Champions League;
• Operating result €26 million;
• Net profit: €23 million;
• Equity increased to €37 million.
Due to this sporting success, Feyenoord saw its revenue grow in the 2024-2025 financial year by 35 million euros compared to the 2023-2024 season, to a total of 160 million euros. The operating result amounted to 26 million euros, almost double that of the previous year. This was mainly caused by reaching the last 16 in the UEFA Champions League. But revenues from Partnerships, memberships and media rights also showed healthy growth.
With the outgoing transfers of mainly Mats Wieffer, Lutsharel Geertruida and – in the winter – Santiago Gimenez, substantial transfer income was realized for the third consecutive year. A significant part of the net transfer income has been reinvested in the squad, which has therefore been strengthened both quantitatively and qualitatively. Taking into account the amortizations on incoming transfers, a player result of 5 million euros was achieved. After interest and taxes, the bottom line showed a net profit of 23 million euros. As a result, equity grew to 37 million euros.
Financial Director Smorenburg looks back with satisfaction on financial year 2024-2025
Financial Director Pieter Smorenburg is satisfied with the figures presented today by Feyenoord: “In the 2024-2025 season we have built on the success of recent years, with growth in operating results, the realization of positive transfer results and disciplined reinvestment in the squad. All of this is aimed at long-term value creation. The Academy remains important as the lifeline of the club. And with Robin van Persie we have a head coach who gives talents the opportunity to move up to the first team.”
In 2025-2026, Feyenoord will play in the UEFA Europa League. Although this will lead to a substantial decline in revenues and operating results compared to 2024-2025, the outlook remains positive. Partly due to the already completed transfers of David Hancko, Igor Paixão, Antoni Milambo and Quilindschy Hartman, Feyenoord also expects a positive net result for 2025-2026.
