Dechamaily Lont signed her first professional contract with Feyenoord this week. In the presence of family and friends, the 17-year-old talented forward for Feyenoord V1 put her signature on an agreement that ties her to the club until mid-2026.
Manon Melis, Women's Football Coordinator at Feyenoord, is proud that the club has once again been able to reward a talented player from its own youth academy with a contract. "We see a player in Dechamaily who has a lot of potential. She already proved last season that she can keep up with Feyenoord V1, and we are confident that she will make great strides here."
For Lont, the signing was a wonderful moment she had long been looking forward to. "The past few years have gone by very quickly for me. I started in the U14 team, then moved on to U16, and after that, through Feyenoord U19, I joined the Feyenoord V1 squad during the winter break. This contract gives me a lot of confidence and definitely leaves me wanting more."
Lont's football career began at a young age with the amateur clubs Alexandria '66 and SVV. In the summer of 2019, the forward made the move to Feyenoord's youth academy. Last December, Lont made her debut for Feyenoord V1 in the Eredivisie against ADO Den Haag. She is also a youth international for the Netherlands.
