The first win of the new season is a fact for Feyenoord. Brian Priske's team was far too strong for PEC Zwolle on Sunday, washing away the bad taste of last week's league start: 1-5. Hugo Bueno and Gijs Smal made their official debuts for Feyenoord.
Debutant Hugo Bueno did not need long to make his mark. Within ten minutes the Spaniard delivered a ready-made assist to Igor Paixão, who nodded in from close range.
Feyenoord struck quickly after the break as well. This time Paixão was the aggressor; the Brazilian then saw Calvin Stengs shoot the ball beautifully from about 20 meters. After Dávid Hancko made it 0-3, Santiago Gimenez scored the final goal. The striker fired in two and opened his account in the new season.
