Football Coaches Flanders (Belgian FA) visits the Feyenoord Academy

Guy Peeters, UEFA A Football Flanders Coach Educator, reflected on the visit: ‘’It is every FA coach educator’s dream to host a UEFA A club visit at youth academies as Feyenoord. Their openness to share their vision on youth development, with a clear data driven approach, is unmatched. We drove home inspired, filled with knowledge and great ideas. We want to thank all the staff of Feyenoord who contributed to this wonderful experience.’’

The delegation of Coaches attended three presentations. Zeb Jacobs, Head of Academy, opened the program with a presentation on the strategic direction and overall vision of the Feyenoord Academy. Zurab Amarian, Head of Coaching, followed with a presentation outlining the structure of coaching principles across the Academy and explaining how the training methodology supports long-term player development.Pascal Bosschaart shared his experiences as Interim Head Coach of the first team during the UEFA Champions League period and in his current role as U21 Head Coach. He reflected on coaching processes at the highest level of professional football.

During the visit, the Coaches also observed several youth training sessions. This provided a clear view of how Feyenoord’s philosophy is applied in practice on the pitch. The delegation also received a guided tour of the Academy facilities.
