Read made the switch from FC Volendam to Feyenoord Academy in the summer of 2023 and managed to develop stormily at Varkenoord in a short space of time. On 15 February 2024, the defender made his debut in the Feyenoord 1 shirt during the Europa League game against AS Roma. In the run-up to this season, Read was allowed to experience the preparation with the first team from the start and came into action during the Johan Cruijff Schaal match against PSV. He was also part of the matchday squad for the Eredivisie matches against Willem II, PEC Zwolle and Sparta Rotterdam.
