Gjivai Zechiël extends contract with Feyenoord

Zechiël joined Feyenoord in mid-2018 as a 14-year-old prospect and quickly made a name for himself at the Feyenoord Academy with his creativity and game sense. His promising development led to him joining the first-team roster at the start of the 2023–2024 season, after which he made his official debut for Feyenoord 1 against Almere City on August 27, 2023.

His first official start for the first team came at the start of the 2024–2025 season, when Zechiël was in the starting lineup for the Johan Cruijff Shield match against PSV, which Feyenoord won on penalty kicks. The creative midfielder would also make his UEFA Champions League debut against Red Bull Salzburg and Lille OSC.
