Oliwia Szymczak will remain with Feyenoord for a longer period. The 21-year-old Polish goalkeeper of Feyenoord Vrouwen 1 has signed a three-year contract extension, keeping her at the club until mid-2028. To gain more experience, the talented shot-stopper will be loaned out to PEC Zwolle for the coming season.
"I’m happy with my contract extension and the trust the club is showing in me," says Szymczak. "I feel privileged to be a goalkeeper for Feyenoord and I look to the future with a lot of confidence. During my loan spell at PEC Zwolle, I hope to get plenty of playing time in the Eredivisie and return to Feyenoord with a backpack full of experience."
Szymczak joined Feyenoord in the summer of 2023 from KKPK Medyk Konin and has so far played ten official matches for Feyenoord Vrouwen 1. On February 17, 2024, she had a standout moment by playing a key role in the penalty shootout during the cup match against ADO Den Haag. Thanks in part to a saved penalty by the Polish goalkeeper, Feyenoord secured a spot in the next round.
