Inbeom Hwang leaves Feyenoord for FC Porto

Hwang joined Feyenoord from Red Star Belgrade on deadline day in the summer of 2024 and made an immediate impact. With his relentless work rate, tremendous stamina and ability to pass with both feet, 'Boomi' quickly became one of Het Legioen's favourites. Shortly after his arrival, the supporters voted him Player of the Month for September, an honour he followed up almost immediately with a superb goal against FC Twente at De Kuip.

Hwang also showed how quickly he had become a key figure in Feyenoord's midfield during the UEFA Champions League matches against Girona FC, SL Benfica, Manchester City and Sparta Prague. As one of the driving forces in the team, the South Korea international regularly led by example, playing an important role in Feyenoord's memorable European campaign.

Hwang was equally determined to make his mark in his second season in Rotterdam. Although injury setbacks limited his appearances, the highly regarded international was still selected for South Korea's World Cup squad. Operating as one of the midfield orchestrators, Hwang was named Player of the Match in the opening fixture against Czechia after scoring a superb goal and providing an equally impressive assist.

Hwang made 54 official appearances for Feyenoord over two seasons, scoring 4 goals and providing 8 assists.
