Jeremiah St. Juste returns to Feyenoord

Jeremiah St. Juste returns to De Kuip after six and a half years. The 29-year-old defender joins Feyenoord on a free transfer from Sporting Clube de Portugal and signs a contract until mid-2027, with an option for an additional year.

'It's great to be back, it feels good and makes me proud,' says St. Juste, who is obviously returning to Rotterdam a more mature player. 'Now that I'm back here, you can see that the club has been anything but idle, and the same goes for me. With everything I've been through and the experience I have now, more can be expected of me. This is a fantastic opportunity to prove myself again and help the club, the team, and the supporters get out of this situation. I'm looking forward to being on the field again, to experiencing the feeling that De Kuip gives you.'

St. Juste made his professional football debut for sc Heerenveen almost exactly 11 years ago and quickly gained a reputation as a great talent. It was no surprise when Feyenoord signed the lightning-fast defender in the summer of 2017. In his second season there, he spent the last year and a half playing under his new coach, Robin van Persie.

The former youth international left for 1. FSV Mainz 05 in the summer of 2019 and made a name for himself in the Bundesliga in the years that followed. In the summer of 2022, he opted for Sporting Clube de Portugal, with whom he won two Portuguese league titles and the cup. Now St. Juste is returning to De Kuip.
