Feyenoord have strengthened their squad with the signing of Joni Paliama. The 22-year-old defender joins from FC Utrecht and earlier today signed a contract at De Kuip that will keep her at the club until mid-2028.
‘Joining Feyenoord feels like the perfect next step in my career,’ said Paliama. ‘I want to continue developing here, play as many minutes as possible and contribute to the growth of the team. I’m really looking forward to playing for Feyenoord and showing the supporters what I can do.’
Paliama began her football career with amateur side AS ’80 in Almere. After progressing through the Ajax academy, she made the move to FC Utrecht in 2023. During her time in Utrecht, Paliama established herself as a regular starter and went on to make 50 appearances for the club.
