Ondřej Lingr is saying goodbye to Feyenoord again after one year. The Czech attacking midfielder, who was signed on a loan from SK Slavia Prague last summer, will return to the familiar ground in his homeland following an agreement between the two clubs.
'Sports-wise it was a great year with playing in the Champions League and winning both the cup and the Johan Cruijff Schaal,' Lingr stated, 'And I also enjoyed the support of the Feyenoord fans immensely, who always encouraged me to give everything. But in the quest for more minutes, Feyenoord and I came to the conclusion that a different course might be better after all. However, I wouldn't have wanted to miss my year at Feyenoord for anything and wish the club and supporters all the best in the future.'
Lingr played a total of 28 games for Feyenoord 1 last season. In those games the 25-year-old Czech international scored four goals, including the winning goal in the away match against Vitesse and his important goal in the semi-final of the TOTO KNVB Cup against FC Groningen, minutes after he was substituted on the pitch. This secured Feyenoord the cup final, which they eventually managed to win from N.E.C.
Feyenoord wishes Lingr every success at Slavia Prague.
