Maruschka Waldus will wear the captain's armband for Feyenoord Women 1 this season. The 32-year-old defender, who joined the club this summer, has been officially appointed as the new captain by head coach Jessica Torny.
Waldus is one of the experienced players in Torny's squad this season. The veteran has previously played in the United States, Sweden, Germany, Iceland, Australia, and Norway. In the Netherlands, Waldus has played for sc Heerenveen, FC Twente, and PSV.
Amber Verspaget will be the vice-captain behind Waldus next season.
